Our First Visitors - April 2008

The Long Beach Skyline at Sunset as seen from the upper deck of the Queen Mary. Dinner at Parker's Lighthouse, one of our favorite places to dine. Loron loved the Fish & Chips.

Time to venture down to San Diego. We stayed at Worldmark which was just a hop, skip and a jump to Sea World.
While in San Diego, we spent the day wandering through Balboa Park and enjoyed a variety of gardens and sites. We also visited the model train museum.

On our way back from San Diego, we stopped in Escondido and since we were hungry, we had lunch at one of Nana's favorite places. I remember the last time I ate there with her, we shared a piece of chocolate-peanut butter pie.

First stop in Escondido was the Pink House. As you can see it is no longer Pink but the memories of sleeping on cots in the garage still makes it The Pink House.

Then over to 1130 West 13th Avenue. The've added a car port and a fence out front, but it's still the quaint house that Nana and Mayme built and turned into the home we all loved to visit.
